International Women’s Day Morning Tea

Board Member Avrithi Misthry represented Youth Without Borders at the Logan City Council International Women’s Day Breakfast. On the 8 March 2014, Avrithi attended the International Women’s Day morning tea on behalf of YWB. She was one of 3 local guestspeakers including: Karina Hogan-an Indigenous journalist and representative for Logan’s First Nations Assembly and Kaylah Truth, a mainstay of the local hip-hop scene and very inspirational young leader. UNICEF Australia’s Young Ambassador Program

Applications are now open for UNICEF Australia’s Young Ambassador program. Each year, the child rights organisation provides campaign and leadership training to a group of budding advocates from across the country. Young Ambassadors have the chance to work with UNICEF on its major campaigns and to create their own passion projects under the guidance of the organisation. University students attend and each represent a particular country, adopting the policies and beliefs of that country.
